Mark Roberts has been delighting people of all ages for years with his whimsical fairy collectibles inspired by Christmas and other special occasions. He began his entrepreneurial career in his college years, when he started a company selling silk flowers and later decorative home accents and unusual Christmas décor as well.
He credits his inspiration for his now-famous collection of Fairies and Santas to his mother’s creative response to a little boy’s inquisitive nature. As a child Mark would ask, "How does Santa fill everyone’s stockings?" or "Why does snow fall in winter?". His mother would explain that the Stocking Fairy helps Santa fill everyone’s stocking and that the Snowflake Fairy sprinkles the sky with his magic and all the snow would fall.
Mark learned another valuable lesson from his mother when she passed away at a young age-he suddenly understood how precious life really is. Several years later, he was realized he had the power to use the magic of those little Fairies from childhood and developed the line of Fairies and Santas he is famous for today.
"Although the path has not always been easy, I find my Fairies to be the most rewarding part of my business and my personal life," Mark said. "Life is precious and sacred, and it should be celebrated now."

Jacqueline Kent has always had an entrepreneurial spirit and has explored many different opportunities throughtout her lifetime. But her greatest success thus far came as a complete surprise! At the time, Jacqueline and her husband had just experienced a sudden loss due to the Canadian depression in the early 90's. Their successful greeting card business had closed almost overnight. Jacqueline's friend had provided her with some small jobs working with clay to help with their difficult situation.
One night, her young son begged for her to make a face out of the clay. Almost like magic, her hands crafted an intricate little face like she had been doing it for years. She tried a foot, and then a hand. To her amazement, the results were incredible. She worked all night long, exhilarated by her newly discovered talent.
Soon Jacqueline's life became a whirlwind of activity as she promoted her work throughout the US and Canada. She spent the next 10 years establishing herself as an artist and delighting collectors with her figurines of Santa, Father Christmas and Fairy Godmothers, among others. Audiences especially love her guest appearances, where she demonstrates her ability to quickly and effortlessly construct life from lumps of clay.
After several years of being unable to keep up the demand for her originals, she began exploring opportunities for reproduction. Jacqueline now continues to create beautiful designs for Kurt S. Adler, Inc., and feels very blessed for the happiness her gift has brought herself and others.
